Pierrick Vilella Segui From the kitchen to the network.
For nine years I worked as a chef, up to running a whole kitchen as head chef. That meant precise prep, calm under pressure, and a team that has to deliver every single service. Now I'm bringing the same discipline to networking and cybersecurity. I build and secure my own home lab in Dublin and I'm training towards a career in network infrastructure security.
Kitchen experience
Years in professional kitchens taught me organisation, leadership and how to keep a team steady when the pressure is on. Here is my experience since moving to Ireland in 2022.

My home lab
Every project runs at home and they all talk to each other. Hover over the diagram or a card to see how they connect.
Network-wide DNS filtering with Pi-hole
A Raspberry Pi acts as the DNS server for my whole home network, blocking ads and tracking domains before they reach any device.
Self-hosted password vault, reachable anywhere
My Bitwarden vault runs in a VM on Proxmox. A VPS linked through a WireGuard tunnel lets me reach it from my phone without opening any port on my home router. The VM is also monitored by Prometheus and Grafana.
Monitoring with Grafana and Prometheus
An Ubuntu VM collects metrics from the Proxmox host, my Bitwarden VM, the Raspberry Pi and my PC. Grafana dashboards show CPU, memory, disk and network in real time.
This portfolio, self-hosted
The site you're reading is written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript and runs on nginx in its own Proxmox VM. A dedicated VPS, separate from the one used for my vault, runs nginx as a reverse proxy and forwards visitors to it through its own WireGuard tunnel, so my home network never exposes a port.
